Three Rivers Partnership helps to deliver a number of Gillingham's annual events. In addition to informal summer pop-up gatherings on the Meadow with Hidden Pizza we also help with regular events including those listed below.

In June, Gillingham in Gear Vintage Car Event on the Town Meadow has vintage cars and motorbikes and varied displays. Organised by Ron and Anne May it is very well attended and kicks off the year's activities. Free entry.

Also in June a Sponsored Cycle Ride is held in aid of Prostate Cancer. This is organised by Gillingham Rotary Club for Fathers Day and starts and ends at the Town Meadow.

In July, an event of local interest is held on the Meadow. This could be a Fitness Event, Town Fete or Music Event. Entry is usually free.

In September there is a week-long Walking Festival with themed walks led by local experts covering local history, industrial heritage, wildlife and riverside walks. It is organised by Sheila Messer with input from various local groups. Tickets are usually free but donations welcome.

In October Coles Fair sets up on the Town Meadow for Carnival Week. This ties in with the local Carnival parade and a number of activities held in various venues in the Town which involve local charities and businesses.

In early December Gillingham holds a Festival of Lighting which includes a parade, prizes, stalls, displays, and often Santa with reindeer. It is regularly held with the Annonymous Travelling Market and attracts crowds. The Town Council organises the event with help from local businesses and charities.

Later in December a Community Christmas Meal is held in a local venue to ensure no one needs to be alone or unable to afford a Christmas meal. The meal has been funded by generous donations. It is a good opportunity to end the year by celebrating our community.
