The Open Spaces working party was launched in 2003 to:

• consider and investigate existing provision of open spaces for amenity use in the area of benefit;
• consider and investigate areas of improvement and enlargement of existing provision;
• consider and investigate new provision off open spaces for amenity use in the area of benefit; and
• make recommendations and present possible funding opportunities to the Board on the above

It has also been tasked by the Board to carry out these recommendations.
